    EFFECT OF JATROPHA BIODIESEL BLEND TO EFFICIENCY VOLUMETRIC OF DIRECT INJECTION DIESEL ENGINE

    Problems oil reserves are dwindling caused the crisis, the effects of the crisis has been felt in the last few years. It encourages researchers to participate in developing renewable fuels. This study, try blend Biosolar Pertamina with jatropha biodiesel. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the composition of jatropha into Pertamina Biosolar to volumetric efficiency of direct injection diesel engine 4- stroke, 4-cylinder with a cylinder volume is 2.8 liters. The composition of the fuel for the experiment is D100 ( Biosolar Pertamina 100% ) ; D90J10 ( Biosolar 90% Jatropha 10%) ; D80J20 ( Biosolar Pertamina 80% Jatropha 20%) dan D70J30 ( Biosolar 70% Jatropha 30% ). The method used is experiment. Results of the study are (1) Effect increase the percentage of biodiesel jatropha to engine diesel power is the power at all loads to be decreased. Values drop in brake power at each of the largest load variation occurs in the mixture D70J30 with a value decline of 0.75%, 5.28%, 10.37% and 9.85% of the power with fuel D100. (2) Effects of jatropha biodiesel percentage increase also resulted in torque at all loads going down. the lowest decline in every variation is incurred on fuel D70J30 brake power is calculated from the value D100, with a value decline of 0.74%, 5.02%, 9.40%, and 8.96%. (3) Effect throughout the fuel mixture of the volumetric efficiency of diesel engines is causing decreased volumetric efficiency, the biggest decline was 6.33%, 6.61%, 6.33%, and 6.19% in the fuel D80J20 volumetric efficiency is calculated from the value D100. Suggested solutions to overcome the problems of a decrease in volumetric efficiency is by placing the intake valve settings, so that when air intake into the cylinders could be longer and with the modification that with the addition of a supercharger or turbocharger, more preferably also added intercooler

    The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is an influence between the learning outcomes of students who were taught by lecturing on the subjects of gasoline fuel system in class XI SMK 1 Palangkaraya. This study used two different classes that involved 32 students of class XI TKR (Light Vehicle Engineering) SMK 1 Palangkaraya are divided into two classes, namely, class XI TKR 1 with 16 people and the number of students in class XI TKR 2, amounting to 16 people, and the type of research is experimental. In this study the instrument in the form of a multiple choice test to collect data of student learning outcomes. Data were analyzed with normality test, homogeneity test and t-test, normality test for pre-test experimental class X2calculated<X2table, is 3.859 <9.488, test of normality to pre-test the control class X2calculated<X2table, namely 3.178 <9.488, while for normality teston post test of experimental class X2calculated<X2table, namely 3.846 <9.488, normality test of post test of control class X2calculated<X2table, namely 3.011 <9.488, test of homogeneity obtained Fcalculated = 1.01 < Ftable = 2.31 otherwise homogeneous. T-test obtained tcalculated = 10.51> ttable = 2.042, so there is an influence on student learning outcomes taught using learning model-type Group Investigation (GI) on the material maintenance of gasoline fuel system components in class XI TKR (Light Vehicle Engineering) SMK Negeri 1 Palangka Raya academic year 2014/2015

    Study program of mechanical engineering education (PSPTM) as an education organization needs to improve its learning quality. In this study, students will also be included to give input so that PSPTM management will be able to determine a strategy change in order to be better and the results to be accepted by the management and the students. The assessment from students is treated as a response to the difference between the rate of expectation and the real level of performance that has been previously perceived. This study is also used the seven dimensions of quality of learning such as the course objectives, lectures, the course structure, learning activities, lectures, companion (assistant) and evaluation. The results of the study by measuring student’s expectations and perceptions using Importance Performance Analysis obtain quality indicator P13 with suitability value 62.2% are quite well, P16 indicator with a value of 71.2% suitability value is also quite good, P18 indicator with a value of 78.4% with satisfactory grades, had a good assessment in practice and needs to be maintained

    The low students study results in the learning activity using mechanic measurement devices is a background of the problem, caused by teacher’s teaching method is still using a conventional approach which is just a verbal lecture without using computer media, it can be seen from student’s low study results. This research aims to find out the level of students’ comprehention on the subject material with the number student of 30. The research is designed in three stages which are pretest stage, learning stage, and post test stage. Data collecting method to be used are documentation, dan test method. Instruments to be used are test and questionnaire. This research is a descriptive research that had been done on the tenth grade student of TKR SMK Karsa Mulya Palangka Raya tahun ajaran 2014/2015. The student achievement level reached 83,4%. It means that learning process using tutorial video on the subject material Using mechanic measurement devices is achieved as per the achievement level criteria of learning process which is 80-100%. It can be concluded that learning model CAI (Computer Assistance Instruction) in the form of tutorial video can be used as an alternative in delivering subject material Using the mechanic measurement devices

    This research is carried out to investigate the effect of learning outcomes of students enter classes after applied NHT (Numbered Head Together) as type cooperative learning. The engineering subject such as component hydraulic system and compressors is planned being the class lesson for regarding study. This research implements True Experimental Design model based on the type of Posttest Control Design for 2 (two) groups. Each of them is selected randomly (R). The first group is given as treatment (x) while other does not be involved. The treated group is as the experimental group and subsequently the non-treated group is designed as the control group. After those implementations, the posttest denotes the experimental results in which the t-test with a significance level of ? = 0.05 has obtained a tcount of 8.99 while the ttable value was 2,000. Due to tcount > ttable, it can be concluded that there is an effect of using the NHT learning model (Numbered Head Together) on the student’s learning outcomes of class X TKRO 2 of SMK Negeri 1 Palangka Raya

    Dalam rangka mencari solusi, krisis energy yang mulai terasa melanda dunia, maka disini akan dicoba untuk mengembangkan sumber energy yang bukan merupakan bahan pangan manusia maupun bahan pakan ternak. Untuk itu penelitian eksperimen ini, bertujuan untuk mengetahui efek Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) type panas, terhadap performa dan emisi jelaga, pada motor diesel Isuzu Panther type C223 yang umum digunakan di Indonesia, dengan menggunakan bahan bakar campuran biosolar dan jatropha biodiesel. Dalam experiment output EGR dapat di tentukan pada temperatur 70°C sampai 100°C. Selain itu, juga diberikan variasi dalam beban, rpm, % EGR dan komposisi campuran bahan bakar. Jatropha biodiesel yang digunakan adalah produksi lokal, sehingga hasil experiment diharapkan dapat diaplikasikan langsung oleh masyarakat. Hasil yang diperoleh, performa campuran biosolar dengan jatropha tidak jauh berbeda dengan performa biosolar murni, seperti yang terlihat pada daya, untuk EGR 10.3 % dengan beban 100% dengan variasi putaran mesin 2100 (rpm) dan temperatur EGR 1000C dan variasi campuran bahan bakar B10D90,B20D80,B30D70 dan Biosolar 100%, mempunyai daya 28,47 kW. Emisi rata-rata terendah diperoleh pada campuran, Biosolar 80% jatropha 20%.Kata kunci: Hot EGR, performa, jelaga, motor diesel, jatropha

    LEARNING MODEL APPLICATION SQ3R (SURVEY, QUESTION, READ, RECITE, REVIEW) TO IMPROVE STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES IN THE SUBJECT MATTER OF PRODUCTIVE MAINTENANCE OF BATTERY FOR CLASS X TSM SEMESTER II SMK KARSA MULYA PALANGKARAYA 2015/2016 ACADEMIC YEAR

    The cooperative model with SQ3R learning model is a learning design which is able to develop and shape the positive character of students. The purpose of this research is to find: (1) Teacher’s role to student in unterstanding the learning after using cooperative learning by applying the SQ3R learning model, (2). The completeness of student’s learning outcome, and (3) Student’s response in understanding the battery maintenance subject after applying SQ3R Model. This research adopted the descriptive research type in which the sample was using whole students of class x at second semester in SMK Karsa Mulya Palangka Raya at academic year 2015/2016. The sample was selected from population by using class sample (class X) at about 34 students involving the instruments such as observation of teacher’s role to students, cognitive learning outcomes test, and the questionnaire of student’s response. The data analyis result indicated that the ability in understanding the application of SQ3R learning model is by an average percentage of first meering at about 91.66 % categorized as excellent, second meeting at around 62.72 % categorized as good, third meeting at about 93.75 % categorized as excellent, and fourth meeting at about 92.70 % categorized as excellent. The individually cooperative learning model obtained by 28 studnets as passing grade status and 4 students experiencing the failed result. Classically, the learning stated is complete with percentage at about 87.50 % successful students. The passing grade of TPK gotten by 19 TPK or at 68.75 % as complete result from 35 TPK. The student’s response to the battery maintenance by applying SQ3R model was expressing the interest to learning model conveyed with percentage at 90.60 %

    The purpose of this study is to determine the usage effect of Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) as Cooperative Learning Model to Student Learning Outcomes in subject of Gasoline Fuel System in Class XI Light Automotive Vehicle Engineering 1 (TKRO 1) SMK Negeri 1 Palangka Raya at Academic Year 2018/2019. Our research attempts to find how the proposed learning model can improve the students’ learning outcomes in the fuel system material after applied through its technical procedure. In previous, most students indicated the partly below for the Minimum Completion Criteria (MCC). Indeed other issue in learning process is that teacher becomes active while many students tend to be passive thus generally speaking most leaning process is being ineffective . Furthermore, the research method applies True Experimental Design with the Form of Post-test for the Control Design. Random sampling technique implements the first sample namely class XI TKRO 1 with a total of 32 students. They are who taught by Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) Type of Cooperative Learning Model. The second sample is class XI TKRO 2 with 27 people taught by conventional models. The instruments of test use the multiple choice test which is numbered about 40 questions before the test questions to give the validity, reliability, differentiation, and level of difficulty of the questions. Based on the results of research and data analysis, it was concluded that the results of the normality test of student learning outcomes in the experimental class and control class were normally distributed and homogeneous. Technically, the hypothesis test applied the ttest then obtained tcount 3.09> ttable 2.003. This means that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, in which indicates that there is an influence of student learning outcomes taught by using the Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) as Cooperative Learning Model to Student Learning Outcomes

    The problem is lack of active students in following learning process, where teacher becomes an only source knowledge during in classroom of learning process. One solution is use of the group investigation model, where the group investigation model provides students opportunity to be active and expressing their opinions. The purpose of this study is to find out how the student learning outcomes and student responses by using the model group investigation in class X TSM SMK Negeri 1 Palangka Raya. This type of research is quantitative research. The population in this research is student of class X TKR and X TSM SMK negeri 1 Palangka Raya on academy year 2016/2017 at about 85 students. Based on the results of the study, student learning outcome has increased after using group investigation model on basic competence. It described the basic principles of motor fuel in class X TSM SMK Negeri 1 Palangka Raya with the percentage average completeness of student learning outcomes was reaching 76.55 increased from 47.11 and level of achievement in learning process was at 88,80% before applied group investigation model. With the completeness of learning outcome at 76,55 and level of achievement 88,80 the process of applying model of study group investigation in basic competence has described the basic principles of motor fuel achieving the criteria

In this study, the data analysis performed inductively. Data obtained from observation sheets and questionnaires compiled systematically and then selected which are important and which will be studied and made a conclusion so easily understood by myself and others. The application of scientific approaches in learning the subjects Safety and Health at work greeted positively by the students by referring to high activeness in learning and positive response, (Agree/strongly Agree) are also high for its response to the application of this scientific approach
